Policies
Commitments, guidelines, and corporate policies that establish the organization’s framework for action regarding diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Developed in collaboration with researchers from the University of Barcelona, the DEI Standard Index® is a unified scientific framework that translates culture, policies, and corporate governance into standardized and auditable numerical indicators.
A model designed to measure diversity, equity, and inclusion management using consistent criteria aligned with international sustainability frameworks, such as ISO, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and ESG criteria.

The DEI Standard Index® assesses an organization’s maturity across four major business areas: Diversity Management, Talent and Human Resources, Strategy and Corporate Governance, and Communication and Stakeholder Relations.
To do so, it connects five fundamental levers that allow for an analysis not only of what an organization declares, but also how it implements those commitments and what its people experience.
Commitments, guidelines, and corporate policies that establish the organization’s framework for action regarding diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Assesses how commitments are translated into objectives, action plans, responsibilities, and resources allocated for their implementation.
Integration of DEI criteria into operational procedures, particularly in talent management, recruitment, development, and career advancement.
Day-to-day application of policies and processes, identifying how commitments are realized in management and leadership decisions.
Employee experiences to understand what they know, how they perceive the implementation of these policies, and what situations they encounter in their work environment.
The model includes 16 categories of diversity which allow for a deeper understanding of the workforce’s composition and an analysis of how different personal and social characteristics relate to work experiences.
The dimensions cover:
Through anonymized, aggregate, and intersectional analyses, the model facilitates identifying differences, barriers, and opportunities for improvement across groups.
The DEI Standard Index® transforms complex information into metrics that enable an understanding of management maturity, an assessment of employee experiences, and the identification of gaps and risks requiring attention.
Measures the gap between the organization’s stated management practices and employees’ knowledge or perceptions.
It helps identify policies and actions that do not reach the workforce, differences in perception, and areas where management practices and employee experience are not sufficiently aligned.
It synthesizes indicators related to employees’ sense of belonging, inclusion, and psychological safety in their work environment.
It helps detect signs of vulnerability, differences among groups, and situations that may affect well-being, engagement, and the work experience.
Measures the proportion of employees who perceive equity in the processes of access, selection, promotion, and professional development.
It enables the identification of differences among groups and the detection of potential barriers to the perception of equal opportunity within the organization.

Be(in) Mindset transforms the DEI Standard Index® into a digital tool for assessment, analysis, and monitoring that enables the application of a consistent methodological framework without adding complexity to day-to-day management.
Organizations are assessed using common questions, indicators, and methodological criteria. This allows for analyzing the evolution of results over time and establishing a consistent basis for comparisons between organizations and sectors when comparable data is available.
The methodological framework was developed in collaboration with researchers from the University of Barcelona, incorporating insights from international DEI experts, senior executives, and HR professionals.
This combination of academic knowledge and business experience enables us to address diversity from a multidimensional, management-oriented perspective.
The Be(in) Mindset SaaS platform enables the standard to be applied to organizations of various sizes and structures.
It processes the collected information and transforms it into indicators, gap analyses, and maturity levels (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced and Champion), facilitating a structured interpretation of the results.
The results provide documented and structured information for monitoring, accountability, and corporate sustainability processes.
Organizations wishing to validate their progress may apply for recognition processes such as Be(in)® Certification, subject to the corresponding evaluation and verification criteria.
